Well well. My first week on FurryMUCK is coming to an end, and I have already finished my second song about a character (Buran had the dubious honour of being the first). Must be something in the air. Or maybe in the fur. ;)

Anyway, I have "known" the "mutty mutt" for some time (through her player's pictures and notes on SCFA (now YERF)), so maybe it all started there... In case anyone should find this song confusing (I know I would if I didn't know the background!), the story is that Shen got "cloned" from a different MUCK to alleviate a shortage of dogs on FM. When I read about this I decided to join as a dog too, which makes the mutt kind of Yip's "conceptual mother", to coin a phrase. Imagine the chi's disappointment when he found out that Shen spends most of her time horizontal because her player favours another character at least during the period when I'm active. Oh well...

Now about the tune. My first impression was that I had made it up myself, but I gradually realised that it's one I have heard somewhere. I need some more time to pinpoint it, but I think it's originally a Dire Straits song.
