Austin's torso just stretches freely.
Wakerudder is about to jump in.
Argon says, "Wait till we have hold of Austin before you jump, and here.."
Argon hands Wakerudder a walkie talkie.
Waydya oohs.Stretch coati.
Argon says, "Let us know when you quit falling."
Argon gets a good grip on Austin.
Argon says, "Ok, if we're all set then..."
Wakerudder grabs the walkie-talkie "ok, I will."
Wakerudder says, "everyone ready?"
Argon is.
Waydya waves back wondering what's going on.
Wakerudder says, "Austin?"
Austin says, "I am even more ready, if such a  thing is possible, than I
 was ten minutes ago."
Wakerudder makes sure he has an excellent grip on Austin's tail and dives
 through the hole.
Argon says, "we're seeing just how far Austin will stretch by having
 Wakerudder hold his tail and jump through the manhole through SpinDizzy
 into space."
Waydya wows.
Argon turns on the walkie talkie.
Wakerudder switches his on as well. "can you hear me?"
Waydya ahs. Boldly going where no otter has gone before.
Argon says, "Here Waydya, you keep in touch with Wakerudder, I don't want
 to let go of Austin."
Argon hands the Walkie Talkie to Waydya
Wakerudder says, "I repeat, can you hear me?""
You chitter, "Loud and clear."
Wakerudder says, "good, I'm still falling, no sign of slowing yet."
Argon says, "Ask him how far down he is, Waydya."
You chitter, "How far down are you?" to Wakerudder.
Wakerudder says, "About 2 km right now, but falling fast..."
Waydya peeks down into the hole, wondering if 'it's full of stars'. ;)
Argon says, "wow."
Argon says, "You doing ok, Austin?"
Austin says, "I feel kind of silly, but yeah, I'm all right."
Fredrick peers into the hole as well
Dellway slurps Shine, afar!  
Wakerudder says, "I've reache nearly 5 km, and I think I'm slowing down a
 bit."
Argon holds Austin, "Yeah, but science is sometimes silly."
Argon says, "Heh, look at Silly Putty."
Austin says, "I'd just like to point out, I can feel a lot of roots
 scraping on me and I'm not sure if it itches or if it scratches."
Waydya giggles.
Argon says, "Hmm, "
Wakerudder says, "still falling, but slowing a bit more."
Argon moves to center Austin's stretched out form over the manhole.
Argon says, "That better?"
Austin says, "I... really don't want to be dropped, you know."
You chitter, "CAn you see anything below yet?" to Wakerudder.
Argon says, "Oh, I won't let go of you."
Shine shlourps Dellway, from afar!  
Wakerudder says, "just empty space all around me, but I can still see
 SpinDizzy above me."
Argon says, "Anyway, that's what the ropes for, in case I slip."
Wakerudder is visibly starting to slow.
Fredrick thinks of the movie Titanic         "I'll never let you go Jack"
"He's slowing down." you chitter, "Feel any different, Austin?"
Argon says, "Ask him if he's got enough air, Waydya."
You chitter, "Well I still hear him talking, so..."
Wakerudder says, "I'm fine so far, no problems."
Argon nods.
You chitter, "Got enough air down there?" to Wakerudder.
Wakerudder says, "yup, plenty!"
Argon says, "Ask how far down he is now."
You chitter, "How far down are you now? Still slowing?" to Wakerudder.
Wakerudder says, "I think I'm getting near the end of the strectch. I'm
 definately slowing down more and more. I'm about 8 km now!"
You chitter, "About 8 km, and plenty of air."
Waydya wows.
Wakerudder says, "I'm almost as far down as I'll go...."
Argon says, "Gee, that's a long way."
Argon says, "He should be bouncing back pretty soon then."
Fredrick says, "I just had a scary thought, what if Austin snaps as he
 stretches?"
Argon says, "You doing ok, Austin?"
Wakerudder says, "9km....."
Waydya wonders if Wakerudder's going to bungee up again, and if he'll hit
 the hole if he does...
Austin says, "They're really tickling, you know."
Argon says, "Ah, the roots."
Argon says, "Hmm, don't know what to do about that Austin."
Wakerudder says, "I stopped, I'm starting to bounce back up. Make note,
 I stopped at a full 10km!"
Fredrick makes a note
Argon would make a note, but has his hands full of Coati.
You chitter, "He's coming back up, stopped at 10 km."
Argon says, "Thanks, Fredrick."
Fredrick says, "no problem"
Waydya moves back from the hole a bit.
Fredrick does the same
Wakerudder is flying back up towards the hole. "I'm building up some speed."
Argon says, "Oh, yeah..he's gonna bounce right up through there isn't he?"
Argon pulls Austin back from the manhole.
Wakerudder says, "I'm almost back..."
Argon holds Austin tightly.
Austin says, "I really don't know if I'm going to like this..."
Wakerudder comes neatly up through the manhole, let's go of Austin's tail
 and lands safely in the branches of the old oak.
Argon says, "Well, nice landing."
Waydya's player blinks. Oh. Tightly. Though it said lightly.
Fredrick has to go
Argon says, "Well, you ok, Austin?"
Austin springs back, and ends up wrapping around Argon several times over.
Wakerudder says, "I'm ok! just a bit high!"
Argon says, "Laters Fredrick."
Wakerudder climbs down into the garden.
Wakerudder says, "bye frederick"
Waydya whews. She was worried Wakes was going to go flying up in the air...
Argon is wrapped up in his work.
Argon says, "Ack!"
Fredrick hands Austin the note which reads "Austin stretches 10km"
Fredrick waves
Waydya turns off the Walkie Talkie and hugs Wakerudder.
Argon tries to step back but his legs are all tangles up and he falls over.
Fredrick goes home.
Fredrick has left.
Waydya eeps and jumps out of the way.
You chitter, "And space under the spindizzy is deeper than that."
Argon falls to the grass with a crash!
Wakerudder watches Argon rolling about, tangled with Austin.
Argon says, "Ooof!"
Argon says, "Here. help me unwrap Austin someone."
Austin says, "Pretty please?"
Wakerudder starts unwrapping suatin "sure."
Waydya tugs gently at Austin's tail. *snap* (That is snap back, not off)
Argon gets up a bit so Austin can be unraveled.
Wakerudder helps Argon up.
Argon gets to his hooves.
Gilead bounces off a rogue sputnik and into the Rose Garden.
Gilead has arrived.
Argon shakes a bit.
Argon says, "Hmm, careful Gilead, watch that open manhole."
Waydya oops and hops over to replace the cover.
Austin says, "Hi, Gilead."
Gilead's not a man.
Argon says, "No, but the manhole is open, don't fall in it."
Austin says, "It goes all the way down."
You chitter, "Well it works as an otter hole too. Wakerudder just jumped
 through it."
Argon unties the rope around Austin.
Waydya secures the man/otterhole cover. "There."
Wakerudder says, "good work Waydya!"
Argon says, "Well, nice work you all.  Now we know."
Clarisa yawns and drops off for bed. "G'nite everyone."
Argon says, "Laters Clarisa"
Austin says, "Night, Clarisa."
Waydya hands the Walkie Talkie back to whoever brought it.
Wakerudder says, "yes we do Argon. yet another scientific query solved!"
Argon takes it and puts it in his pocket.
Argon says, "I didn't think these walkie talkies would transmit that far."
Dellway slurps Gilead!  
Gilead eeps!
Wakerudder gives his walkie-talkie back as well. "I guess they do eh!"
Argon nods and puts it in his pocket too.
Argon says, "Well, if we ever need a 10 kilometer rope, we know who to
 call."
Argon grins!
Argon says, "Hmm, but you know...."
Wakerudder says, "what?"
Argon says, "How much do you weigh, Wakerudder?"
Austin scratches his belly.  "What a great thought."
Wakerudder says, "dunno, maybe 25 pounds or so...."
Argon says, "It's possible with more weight, he's stretch even further."
Wakerudder says, "let's tie him to you Argon! =)"
Argon says, "I don't think I'll fit through the manhole."
Wakerudder says, "oh...."
Waydya looks around for a centaurhole.
Austin says, "You know, it's not like the world goes on forever, too."
Argon says, "Anyway, I think one 10 km trip a day is enough for Austin."
Wakerudder says, "probably Argon."
Argon says, "And I'm willing to accept 10km as Austin's limit."
Austin says, "It's a little warm, you know."
Argon says, "What's warm, Austin?"
Austin says, "Me, right now."
Waydya looks towards the horizon. "We could try stretching him
 horizontally, you know..."
Argon says, "Oh yeah, stretching will do that."
Wakerudder says, "not tonight guys. I'm off to bed."
Wakerudder says, "night."
Wakerudder teleports away.
Argon says, "I forget what it's called though"
Gilead paces.
Argon says, "You want to get in the fountian and cool off Austin?"
Waydya smiles. Knew that fountain would come in handy one day...
